Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good condition WWII German National Flag or Banner, which measures a very displayable 43 inches wide by 29 inches tall. These were used inside buildings, or possibly on podiums during speeches. It is of all cotton construction, and is double sided with single piece cotton white circles with black multi-piece Swasen (Hook Crosses or Swass) sewn onto both sides. This example has a hanging hem on both sides, something we haven't seen before, which would have made it easier to display in windy conditions. 

Condition is very good, with some small tears and stains. The colors are very well retained, with minimal age toning to the white circles along with some stains, and a vibrant red field. It has pole slots on both ends, with a faint maker marking on the corner of one of them.

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.
