Original German WWII NSDAP Large Political Banner Flag - USGI Bringback 46" x 82”

Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. This is a very rough WWII NSDAP Political banner almost certainly brought back by an American G.I. after the war. It measures a large 46" x 82”, and despite not having any serious tears, the flag has been heavily water damaged at one point, but appears to have been saved from deteriorating. The red color is heavily faded and blackened, and the NSDAP symbol’s white background is much the same. We believe the damage to have been period given that it has remained dormant for so long.

No maker markings are visible, and it looks to have had one end cut off, probably the hanger sleeve end when it was cut off from where it was hanging. It is now fraying on that side in spots, so this example would do best in a frame. This example was folded several times over the years, so framing would be the best choice.

This is a great example of a bring-back banner, perfect for display in any WWII Collection. Comes ready for further research and display.

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.
