Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good service used condition WWII German National Banner flag, which measures a large 59 inches in hoist by 126 inches in fly, or 4.92ft. by 10.5ft.. These were used inside buildings, or possibly on podiums during speeches. The fabric of the large red field feels like a cotton wool blend, or may be all cotton. The body of the flag looks to be made from a single large piece of fabric, with reinforcements sewn onto all four corners. The central white circle is a separate piece sewn into a large circular hole in the middle, and the "mobile" black swas (Hook Cross) insignia are black fabric pieces sewn onto both sides. There is a lined hanger sleeve on one end of the flag, and on one corner is has a number 18 marked on it, next to faded depot issue stamps, which are unfortunately illegible.

The flag is in very nice used condition, and it shows age toning and staining consistent with long service. It definitely looks to have been flown outside and been exposed to the elements, and it has tears and holes consistent with use. A nice "Salty" example with a patina that is impossible to duplicate.

This would be perfect for a WWII German wall display!

The NSDAP, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, (German Worker’s Party), on January 5TH 1919. When Adolf AH joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 AH was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.
