Original Item: Only One Available. This is a privately manufactured German political decorative textile, possibly intended as a cushion cover or similar interior furnishing. It features an early style NSDAP political eagle applied to a black velvet or velveteen face, with a black cotton reverse. Its exact original purpose and period authenticity have not been confirmed.

The textile measures approximately 16 1/2" x 19 1/2". The multicolored eagle, wreath, and mobile swas design appear to have been applied in heavy textile paint using a stencil or screen printing process.

The eagle is consistent with an early political pattern associated with the NSDAP and SA during the 1920s and early 1930s. The mobile swas is displayed in an upright rather than canted position, an unusual feature compared with many later political emblems.

The piece remains in very good overall condition, with no apparent tearing to the black fabric. The painted design shows age related cracking, particularly within the heavier applied areas, but remains clearly defined and visually striking.
