Original German WWII NSDAP Adolf H - Pictures of the Life of Der Führer Cigarette Card Album from School - All Cards Present

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a rare example of an early hardcover NSDAP "Cigarette Card Album", titled Adolf Hi***r: Bilder aus dem Leben des Führer (Pictures from the life of the leader). These were produced as propaganda, meant to popularize the NSDAP version of the life of "Der Führer" after they successfully took over power in 1933. These were purchased without the included pictures, which were then received along with packs of cigarettes. This served the dual purpose of helping to stiffen the packaging, as well as being collectible items. This example is a very early edition 501.-600. Tausend 501-600 Thousand), printed in approximately 1935 by Cigaretten=Bilderdienst (Cigarette Picture Service) of Altona-Bahrenfeld, with a copyright date of 1936.
It is approximately 133 pages long, hardcover, and features a huge number of glued in pictures, as well as some very impressive portraits of the top level NSDAP leadership during the early days. It measures approximately 9 3/4"W x 12 3/8"H x 3/4", and is offered in good condition. This is one of many collectible books released after the NSDAP rise to power in 1933, and is both a collector's book as well as a history book.
As far as we can tell, the album is complete, with all photograph cards still present, still firmly attached to the pages. Additionally, the very first page indicates that this book looks to have been in the library of a school, and there is some text in Sütterlin script, along with official issue stamps and numerous names signed. Definitely some fantastic translation and research potential! As a book owned by a school, it did see a good amount of use, and the cover shows wear, as well as some taped repairs along the spine. The pages have yellowed quite a bit, and there are detached pages inside the book, as well as pages that have tears and missing corners. Still, the photo cards are for the most part still shiny, and firmly attached to the pages.
