Original Items. Very Few Available. These are original NOS New Old Stock German WWII Gasplane gas cape pouches, the small protective pouches designed to be carried with the M30 and M38 gas mask canister. They were used to hold the folded anti-gas cape and were commonly attached externally to the gas mask container for quick access.

Examples of the markings on one are dtq 44 / 45, a three letter maker’s code and date over what may be a size mark. This example retains both snaps though there is heavy oxidation to their undersides.

The pouch is made from treated fabric with snap closures and mounting loops, allowing it to be secured directly to the gas mask canister. Surviving originals are frequently found without the cape itself, and loose pouches such as these have become increasingly difficult to locate.

These original Gasplane pouches are ideal for completing an M30 or M38 gas mask canister setup, restoring a mannequin or field-equipment display, or replacing a missing pouch on an otherwise complete original set. Because these are genuine wartime items, markings, finish, condition, and hardware wear will vary between examples.
