Original German WWII NCO Prize Shooting Competition Wooden Target with Panzer Tank Illustration - 15 1/2" Wide

Original Item: One of a Kind. This is a very interesting German Shooting Club Wooden target with a Panzer Tank illustration in the center. We have seen similar examples before, used as signs for shooting clubs, however this example was used as a target for the competition itself! It has a very nice inscription around an inlaid circle of lighter wood, which reads:
Unteroffiziers Preisschießen 22. 4. 1942
Bester schütze: Uffz. Hildebrandt
The basic translation is "NCOs Prize Shooting 22 April 1942. Best Shooter: Sergeant Hildebrandt". As an added bonus, next to all of the bullet holes in the target are the names of the NCOs whose shots made them! Looks like most of the NCOs in the competition could use some target practice!
There are two swas (hook cross) insignia on either side of the target, and the center features what looks to be some version of the interwar Panzerkampfwagen I (PzKpfw I or Panzer I). There is the name H. FRIEDMANN on the print, which we have not been able to find any information on.
Condition is very good, with the colors well retained, and a lovely aged look to the painted front. The rear shows remnants of a maker label, however most of it was removed by the shots near the center. A great display piece worthy of further research!
