Original German WWII Model 1938 Single Decal Luftwaffe Paratrooper Helmet

Item Description

Original Item: Only One Available. This wonderful Fallschirmjäger helmet retains 95% of its originally applied, dark green, rough texture combat finish. It is in near excellent condition with no rust, damage or dents. This example has a decal that is excellent, remaining 95% intact.

The interior features a soft, brown leather liner is size 58. It is well marked and produced by Heisler. It is nicely ink stamped with maker and size markings of the liner (58) and the shell (71) as follows:

Kopfweite: Gr. 58

Stahlhelm: Gr. 71

Baumuster: Heisler, Berlin C2

Hersteller: F.W. Müller Jr.

Seen between the liner band the liner itself are the complete seven charcoal foam pads; the entire assembly is attached to the shell via four correct wartime original bolts.

The harness shows some wear and minor discoloration from age and one strap has been broken at the very end. The buckle is the wartime example (some moderate surface rust).

The side of the interior shell is stamped ET 71 and the rear of the skirt is stamped with the steel lot number 4521. All paratrooper helmets were produced by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale. This one is a size 71 and was produced some time in 1940.

A fantastic example, with all the correct features and in prime condition, a top shelf helmet for the serious collector!
