Original German WWII Militaria Collector Lot with "Wedding Helmet", Heer Belt Buckle & More! - 8 Items

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Set Available. This is a very nice collection of German WWII Insignia & Awards, which was brought back from the European theater by a USGI after the war was concluded. It includes some very rare and hard to find items, including a wedding helmet and water protection police sports insignia. A great collection by itself, or a way to start your own!

This lovely set includes:

- One Rare German WWII Army Heer Single Decal Miniature "Wedding" or "Honeymoon" Helmet. Made from solid cast aluminum and painted Wehrmacht Green, these helmets legally allowed soldiers to get married while not actually being present at the ceremony. During the ceremony, the bride would place her hand on the helmet and take the marriage vows in the soldiers absence. This method was approved by the NSDAP government as binding and official, and was a way to avoid disruptions, as so many young men were at the front fighting during the war. Definitely a unique solution to a problem faced world wide.

- One German WWII Wehrmacht Heer Army EM/NCO Steel Belt Buckle, dated 1943. This service worn buckle is missing most of the paint on the front, giving it a fantastic patina. The rear is maker marked C.T.D. 1943, for manufacture by Christian Theodor Dicke of Lüdenscheid.

- TWO Unissued German WWII National Socialist State Veteran's Association Armband Insignia. These are BeVo Embroidered insignia, and have not been cut out from their original fabric strip. This was probably part of a whole roll that was found by USGI's, who then cut off pieces to take home.

- One German WWII Aluminum Visor Cap Crown Eagle in Unissued Condition. This is RZM marked M1 / 167 for Augustin Hicke of Tyssa bei Odenbach. This was most likely intended for an SA or NSDAP political cap.

- One German WWII RAD National Labor Service Officer's Bullion Embroidered Cap Insignia. This example shows some moth nips and service wear, either from long service or from a long time in someone's pocket.

- One German WWII RAD National Labor Service Round Pin. These were worn on the clothes while in service. This example is in good condition, however the pinback is broke.

- One German WWII Wasserschutzpolizei (Water Protection Police) Insignia for M35 Sport Shirt. These are relatively hard to find, as they were much fewer in number than the other sports shirts insignia made. This example was issued, and then cut off a sport shirt.

- One German WWI Honor Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Hindenburg Cross) Buttonhole Ribbon

A wonderful totally genuine grouping perfect for the WWII German collector.
