Original German WWII MG 34 MG 42 Basket Belt Carriers in Transport Frame - Maker Marked and Dated
Original Items: Only One Set Available. German WWII manufactured, these are steel basket belt carriers which attach to the feed tray assemblies of the MG 34 or MG 42. All components of this set bear the original WWII German Maker marks and dates. The Transport frame has original WWII period Panzergrau paint, with what looks to be DAK tan underneath. The two carriers are painted with post war apple green.
The Transport frame itself is faintly marked wa 43 for production at Hugo Schneider AG. They manufactured belts and carrier frames as well as ammunition. They manufactured belts and carrier frames, as well as a large number of flare pistols. The original paint is mostly intact, with the expected chipping and wear from age and service. It measures about 12" long, 5 3/4" wide, and 5 1/4" tall.
One basket belt carrier is marked wc 43, again for Hugo Schneider AG, but in their Meuselwitz factory. The paint is about 95% present. The other drum belt carrier is marked 797 40, which is from the older inter - early war number system. Unfortunately records are very incomplete, so this manufacturer is not known. The paint on this one shows wear, so it definitely saw service after being refurbished post war. It is also marked with 292P next to a Waffenamt proof mark. Both drums are in very good structural condition and function correctly.
Once common, these are now very hard to find on the market, especially with German WWII markings. Complete your MG 34 or 42 display today!
