Original German WWII MG 34 Leather Gunners Kit Tool Pouch with Bolt, A.A. SIght, Tools, & More - Serial C 3148

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic lightly used MG 34 gunners tool pouch, made from thick black finished leather, which still contains the lion's share of the original components. Based on the condition, we assume this was one of many that came out of Portugual along with virtually unissued MG 34 parts sets in their original crates, each with their matched tool kits and other components. Other the years the sets have been broken up, and that looks to be what has happened here.
The pouch is marked with serial C 3148 on the lid, and still has a functional closure strap, belt loops, and D ring on the rear. It shows light wear, though the interior is stained from contact with the tools and components carried inside. It still has the original compartments and clips, and is one of the most complete sets we have seen in some time.
With the pouch are the following original WWII Issue items, which fit neatly inside, with the mitt outside:
- One MG 34 Complete Bolt Assembly, serial number 4903 II, which is covered with inspection markings. These included many German WWII Waffenamt markings, so this is definitely WWII production.
- One MG 34 Ruptured Shell Extractor, marked bnz for manufacture by Steyr.
- One MG 34 Anti-Aircraft Spider Sight, in excellent condition.
- One MG 34 / 42 Metal Oiler, painted panzergrau.
- One MG 34 Spanner Tool, marked bhm.
- One MG 34 / 42 Belt Starter Tab, dated 12.40 and maker coded dej.
- Two MG 34 Rubber Mündungskappen MG (Muzzle caps MG), which have become stiff and degraded.
- One MG 34 Cloth Muzzle Cover
- One MG 34 Barrel Mitt for changing barrels, which were very hot.
Many of these would later be modified for use with the MG 42, but this definitely appears to be in the original MG 34 configuration, complete with all the usual components, and even a spare bolt, which is usually not included.
