Original German WWII Metropolitan Police Leather Pistol Cartridge Box with Police Eagle Insignia

Original Item: Only One Available. Here we have a very nice German WWII Era leather pistol cartridge box, as used by Ordnungspolizei (Order Police) units. These would be mounted on the belt or cross strap, and the black finish to the box indicates use by the Schutzpolizei des Reiches Metropolitan Police. The box measures approximately 6 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 1 1/2", and is in very good condition, with the leather still retaining the finish quite well. The closure strap is in good shape, though it does show some wrinkling and wear. We also noted that the stitching that holds the top flap to the body is rotting out due to age, so it should be handled with care.
