Original Items: Only One Pair Available. This is a nice pair of German World War Two Luftwaffe Leather Flying Mittens, which look to have seen moderate use during the war. They feature white-painted leather exteriors, with fur-insulated lining on the interior of the gauntlet style mittens. The right glove features a period-added wool “trigger finger” sleeve for easier shooting, meaning these were likely worn by a gunner aboard an aircraft.
The gloves show heavy service use and are void of any markings we can find. The left glove has a large section which appears to have been added as a repair. We aren’t sure when they were painted or why. The gloves are still attached by the tie strings being tied together.
A good set of German WWII flight gloves, ready for display.
