Original Items: Only One Pair Available. This is a lovely matched pair of German World War Two dress gloves, made from gray "Doeskin Suede", very similar in feel to Chamois leather. The gray color would have been suitable for both the Heer Army and Lufwaffe Air force, and these would really have made quite an impression with a dress uniform. Both are marked with size 8 ½ on the interior, along with a faded maker mark and the number 2 9. The maker mark is identical, but due to use and wear the top line is barely legible, though maybe someone familiar with German glove makers of the WW2 era may be able to identify them.
The gloves are quite soft, and feature a two button closure at the wrist, with the standard three decorative "points" stitched onto the backs. They are quite light, not really intended for heavy duty use, and show light wear to the leather, with no tears or other major damage. The leather is still supple, and we do not see any dry rot or other degradation present.
A lovely set of dress gloves, ready to add to your collection.
