Item Description
Original Items: Only one available. This is an excellent original M1938 Beaded Luftschutz Gladiator German helmet. The exterior of this German helmet retains about 95% of the original dark blue paint. The helmet retains the original split pin rivets. The Luftschutz decal is clean and 95% complete but has wear throughout. Additionally, this helmet has a NSDAP Party (NSDAP) pin installed over the left ear on the outside of the helmet, and it is in excellent condition.
The inner skirt is maker marked R.L.2 38/31. In addition there is a decal stamp that reads:
Indicating helmet size of 58. There is also a stencil stamp NSDAP with more text below that is unfortunately not legible. The leather is complete and very good condition. The chin strap is present, but is missing part of the end, and is in delicate condition.
Overall a very nice complete German WWII M38 Luftschutz helmet.
