Original German WWII M38 Luftschutz Air Defense Gladiator Helmet
Item Description
Original Items: Only one set available. This is an excellent original M1938 Beaded Luftschutz Gladiator German helmet. The exterior of this German helmet retains about 95% of the original dark blue paint. The helmet retains the original split pin rivets. The Luftschutz decal is clean and 95% complete.
The inner skirt is maker marked RL 2 38/25. In addition there is a paint stamp that reads:
gemäß § 8 Luftschutzgesetz
Kopfweite 57
Höchstpreis RM 8.50
This stamp appears to be a distribution stamp, which translates to: "Distribution approved according to Section 8 Air protection legislation. Head Width 57. Highest Price 8.50 Reichsmark."
Liner is absent but liner band is present. The chin strap is in good condition.
Overall a very nice genuine German WWII M38 Luftschutz helmet.
