Original Items. Very Few Available. We are offering a selection of original New Old Stock German WWII leather helmet liner templates intended for use in the manufacture of liners for the M35, M40, and M42 Stahlhelm. These are unused factory components that were never assembled into complete liners and remain in their unfinished, unstitched form as they left the production process.
Some of the liner templates have markings on the back, an example of which is Bo. 59 Dez. / 1944. One example measures roughly 23 ⅛” long and roughly 5 ¼” wide. There is some storage damage but these are in good overall condition.
Surviving unfinished liner components offer an unusually direct look at the wartime manufacturing process behind the German Stahlhelm. Their unassembled construction, occasional factory markings, and late-war dating make these useful reference pieces for collectors studying helmet production, liner construction, and German wartime manufacturing practices. Get one before they’re gone!
