Original Item: Only One Available. This is an original German WWII Luftwaffe tropical web waist belt fitted with a steel EM/NCO belt buckle, or Koppelschloß, by Gustav Brehmer of Markneukirchen. The tan web belt shows substantial field use and was modified during its service life by removing the original adjustment tab end and adding two claw holes directly through the webbing, creating a distinctive period worn configuration.

The buckle is the wartime steel pattern with a dark Luftwaffe blue gray painted finish. It is die stamped with the straight tail Luftwaffe eagle on a pebbled central field surrounded by a laurel wreath. The front retains approximately 30% of its original painted finish, with heavier wear along the edges and raised surfaces from prolonged use. The reverse retains somewhat more finish, while exposed areas on both sides show age related oxidation.

The tropical tan web belt has been shortened by removing the end that originally carried the length adjustment tab. Two new holes were then cut directly through the webbing to receive the buckle claw. This alteration appears to have been made to shorten the belt for wear, though the exact circumstances cannot be determined.

The opposite end retains its original steel hook. In its present configuration, the belt measures approximately 29" overall, with an approximately 31" clip to loop length. The webbing shows embedded dirt, grease, staining, and general wear from use. No legible belt markings remain.

With its Gustav Brehmer marked steel Luftwaffe buckle, tan tropical web construction, surviving original steel hook, and unusual field shortening modification, this is a strong service worn example of a German WWII tropical belt set. The approximately 30% buckle finish, oxidation, embedded grime, removed adjustment tab, added claw holes, and absence of surviving belt markings are all fully disclosed. It would fit especially well in a Luftwaffe tropical uniform, North Africa or Mediterranean theater equipment, German field gear, Gustav Brehmer, or advanced WWII militaria collection.
