Original Item: Only One Available. Extremely rare! This is a semi cylindrical transport tin that was designed to contain a flare pistol and multiple flares. These were issued to members of the Luftwaffe for their survival packs. It is a semi-cylinder metal tin in which a flare gun and flares were stored, and was an integral part of the Luftwaffe survival kit. The tin measures 13" H x 4" W x 8" L, and is offered in very good condition. It still has a good amount of the original fliegerblau (flyer's blue) paint on the exterior, an even has most of the exterior labels still present. The top has a large Notsignal (emergency signal) marking, and the label on the side has the following heading:-

this translates to "Emergency signal container with contents - Sea", so we assume that there were different containers for land. The container comes with two inert signal flare casings, as well as the parachute for a signal flare, and even some of the flare separators, which are partly broken. Really a lovely example of a very hard to find Luftwaffe item!
