Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice service used WWII German Luftwaffe Summer Flyers Suit (Fliegerschutzanzug für Sommer) with an original matching flight helmet. The suit is a one piece, coverall style summer flight suit constructed in slightly mottled, white flecked, tan cotton with leather and metal fittings. We often see these looking like they never left the depot, but this one looks to have at least seen minor service. The helmet is in good shape with some small tears and a missing snap.
Most buttons, snaps and zippers on the suit are present, though they definitely do show wear from age and use. The interior flap retains a maker’s tag:

This denotes 1940 manufacture. The snaps on the suit are all marked PRYM 6H. The zippers are by several different makers, showing ELITE, RAPID, and RHEINNADEL stampings. All still have their pull tabs, however the leather extensions are gone on some. As this suit looks to have seen post war use, some of the zippers may have been imported. The suit retains the pull-ring rope system meant to allow for easy stripping of the suit in the event of an emergency, rare to see.
The suit is also stamped on the interior with L.B.A. (S) 40 denoting issue to the Luftwaffe in 1940, rare to see!
The original helmet is in fair overall shape and retains a data tag inside:

This denotes the helmet size as 57. The silk lining shows moderate wear with some sweatstaining from period use. One of the snaps on the back meant to hold the goggles in place is broken.
