Original German WWII Luftwaffe Marked Clear Glass Beer or Wine Bottle - Marked Property of Luftwaffe

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very good original German WWII Luftwaffe property-marked clear glass beverage bottle, complete with its original white porcelain swing-top stopper and wire bale closure. The porcelain stopper is prominently marked EIGENTUM der LUFTWAFFE, translating to “Property of the Luftwaffe.” The bottle measures approximately 9 inches tall with a 3-inch base diameter.
The bottle doesn’t retain the rubber seal under the cap, but the latch still works. The cap and bottle mouth both show wear and minor chipping. The hinged cage closure is somewhat oxidized and still fully functional, which allows the lid to be opened. The bottom of the bottle is faintly embossed 0,5Kg / K 53 IS., which indicates the maker as well as a 500ml capacity, which weighs 0.5kg.
These are seldom encountered and would look great with a German WWII display. Apparently many of these were found in a French Rubbish dump 70 years after the close of WWII. A hard to find yet affordable collectible from the Third Reich.
This example is particularly noteworthy for the combination of its clear glass construction, original porcelain swing-top closure, prominently marked EIGENTUM der LUFTWAFFE stopper, and surviving functional wire bale assembly.
