Original German WWII Luftwaffe Machine Embroidered Breast Eagle

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very interesting German WWII Luftwaffe (Air Force) machine embroidered breast eagle, as would be fitted onto the combat uniform. It measures approximately 3 3/4" x 1 7/8", and looks to be made from silver / gray threading on a Luftwaffe blue gray wool base material. It does however look like it may have been turned into an "ersatz" officer's eagle during the war by adding silver paint to the front, which was very carefully done to maintain the design.
With great color showing light age toning and only minor wear, this is really a very nice and interesting example. Ready to display!
