Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition German WWII Luftwaffe Flieger Kopfhaube (Aviator Helmet/Hood), model LKp W101. This is a helmet for winter, as indicated by the W. It is made of leather, with a very nice rabbit fur lining, which has a chamois backed forehead area and neck straps. It comes with a fully correct and intact communication setup, with attached throat microphones, installed LN26602 headphones, and a bakelite 4 pin connector on the back. This helmet also comes with an original pair of Luftwaffe flight goggles whose straps fit perfectly into the slots on the back of the helmet.
The helmet still has a clear original manufacturers tag on the interior rear:

Condition is very good, with the expected wear from service. There is definitely sweat and oil staining on the interior, on both the chamois and shearling. Both chin straps are still intact, as are both buckles. The wiring for the headphones is marked on the plug BLKvFL27560. The throat microphones are marked Mi4b and Ln 26779-2 meaning the avionics are composed of round Mi4b magnetic type throat microphones with four-pole break coupling/plug. The goggles are in fantastic condition and are marked AUER on each eyepiece. The rubber is in great shape for its age but is still a bit brittle, so please exercise caution.
This really is a nice larger size example of a German WWII Flying helmet, complete with headphones and goggles. Ready to add to your collection!
