Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice original German WWII Luftwaffe Fl.U.V.-marked green glass beverage bottle, complete with its original white porcelain swing-top stopper, rubber sealing washer, and wire bale closure. The porcelain stopper is faintly dated 1942 and marked Fl.U.V. around a Luftwaffe eagle. The bottle measures approximately 10 inches tall and 2 ½ inches across the base, widening slightly toward the shoulder. 

The white porcelain stopper is faintly dated 1942 and coded FL UV with a Luftwaffe eagle. FL UV stands for Flieger Unterkunft Verwaltung, or the Flight Barracks Administration, the agency responsible for Luftwaffe accommodations. Measures approximately 10 inches tall and 2 ½ inches wide at the base, getting slightly wider towards the shoulder. There is also a maker marking on the bottom, making this an interesting research opportunity.

Fl.U.V.-marked material represents the everyday logistical and administrative side of Luftwaffe service. Rather than flight equipment, these objects were associated with the accommodation system that supplied and maintained the furnishings and utensils required in Luftwaffe barracks, quarters, and related installations. Surviving Fl.U.V.-marked messware and furnishings demonstrate how widely the marking was used across institutional property. 

The rubber washer under the porcelain cap is still present, though it is definitely cracking and deteriorated. Opening and closing the bottle only harms it further. The bottle is in great shape with some moderate oxidation on the cage, which still functions correctly.

These are seldom encountered and would look great with a German WW2 display. Apparently found in a French Rubbish dump 70 years after the close of WW2. A hard to find yet affordable collectible from the Third Reich.

This example is particularly noteworthy for the combination of its green glass construction, 1942-dated Fl.U.V. porcelain stopper, Luftwaffe eagle marking, surviving original rubber washer, functional swing-top closure, and unidentified maker mark on the base. These features make it a strong representative example of the institutional beverage and barracks equipment used by the Luftwaffe during WWII.
