Original Item: Only On Available. This is a fantastic set of German WWII Lightweight (Mounted) Leather Combat Suspenders, usually referred to as "Y Straps" due to the shape. This version is more lightweight than the standard issue, using thinner leather without the additional straps, D-Rings, and padding around the central join, and is intended only for support of the combat belt and associated ammo pouches / holsters. These were used by cavalry, Fallschirmjäger Paratroopers, armor crews, and other positions where weight was an issue, and backpacks and the like could not be worn.
This example is in the wartime color, with brown on the front and natural leather on the reverse side. One strap is stamped:

This was a known maker of leather goods during the period, including chinstraps, field gear, and Y-Straps.
Condition is heavily worn, with some weakness and cracking at points in the leather but nothing too terribly straining. There is some oxidation to the metal fittings as well.
