Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fantastic and difficult-to-find WW2 German 3.7cm Naval flak inert shell, Dated 1939 and clearly marked with an M for Marine (Naval). It measures 20¼ inches high. The fuse is stamped with a Waffen acceptance stamp. The projectile has the correct ordnance, maker and date stamps as does the brass shell base. The yellow paint denotes H.E. with tracer.
The tip of the fuse is marked 3.7cm Kz.4 btn42/44 I/3. The projectile is marked 75F 83 42 (KRIEGSMARINE EAGLE). The projectile is taped to the shell to keep it from being loose but it could easily be removed for display.
The 3.7 cm Flak 18/36/37 was a series of anti-aircraft guns produced by Germany that saw widespread service in the Second World War. The cannon was fully automatic and effective against aircraft flying at altitudes up to 4,200 m.
A great example, ready for further research and display.
