Original German WWII Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery EM/NCO Belt, Buckle, and K98 Ammunition Pouches (2)

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Set Available. Here we have a great example of a WWII German Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery EM/NCO Waist belt & buckle, paired with a set of K98 ammunition pouches. The Navy used the standard Wehrmacht pattern buckles, but instead of the Field Gray color used by the Heer, they usually painted them a gold color. However, this was deemed most likely not the best color to use in Küstenartillerie (Coastal artillery) emplacements, so in 1937 they began to issue these dark navy blue belt buckles instead.

This Set Includes:
- EM/NCO Steel Belt Buckle and Belt by Josef Feix & Söhne: This is a very good condition WWII German Kriegsmarine (Navy) EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß), with the correct leather belt. The Buckle design features a smooth outer field with central, high relief, embossed Wehrmacht eagle with down swept wings to slightly domed center, encompassed by an oak-leaf cluster to bottom and bears the Wehrmacht motto GOTT MIT UNS, (God with us), on the top. The oak-leaf cluster and script are on a ribbed background and encircled by an inner and outer simulated twisted rope border. This is a great dark navy blue painted steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. The buckle is in great condition, with what appears to be a well retained paint. The back of the buckle is nicely stamped with maker mark JFS for Josef Feix & Söhne of Gablonz, in the so-called Sudetenland. There is no leather tab on the buckle, so it was most likely made after 1941.

The black leather belt is in very good condition, with the finish well retained. The leather is still very supple, without any major cracking. Total length is approximately 40 inches.

-Mauser 98k Ammunition Pouches (Pair): Now this is a beautiful pair of pouches. These are the “triple” ammunition pouches and are both constructed of black "pebble grain" leather. Both pouches are marked on the back with RBNr. 0/0465/0012, so this is a great MATCHED set from the same maker! The pouches are in very nice servie worn condition with all straps and tabs intact and unbroken, as well as all internal dividers intact. One is named to H. Meyer on the inside of the middle pouch flap, while the other is named to R. Jülich.

A perfect EM/NCO belt setup that is ready for display as is, or to pair with a uniform on a torso mannequin.
