This is a very desirable original German WWII Juwel 33 portable gasoline field stove manufactured by Gustav Barthel of Dresden, accompanied by its matching maintenance toolkit. Compact pressure stoves of this family were used by German military personnel for heating food and water in the field and are commonly referred to by collectors as squad stoves.
Gustav Barthel was an established German manufacturer of blowlamps, portable stoves, and related heating equipment before and during World War II. This example is marked with the GB Crossed swords logo with the text:

Fuel in the tank was preheated so that vaporized gasoline could pass through the burner jet, while a regulating spindle controlled the flame. The cylindrical outer casing served both as a protective transport housing and as a windscreen and pot support when the stove was assembled for use. These stoves were especially practical for small groups, vehicle crews, and personnel operating away from fixed field kitchens.
The included toolkit is marked with the same maker information and contains a small cloth looped through a metal loop, two wrenches, and several other small pieces.
