Original Item: Only One Available. This is a fair ground-dug example of the Top portion of a rocket for the German WWII Panzerfaust Gross (Tank Fist Large) "throw away" anti-tank rocket launcher. It looks to possibly be a battlefield dug up example, and is totally inert according to the current BATF standards governing this type of ordnance.
Unloaded or dummy grenades, artillery shell casings, and similar devices, which are cut or drilled in an BATF-approved manner so that they cannot be used as ammunition components for destructive devices, are NOT considered NFA weapons. This example is in total compliance and is totally inert. NOT AVAILABLE FOR EXPORT.
This example of the top portion features a lovely intact Hohlladung und Einlage (shaped charge cavity and liner), which is fully intact, while the exterior surface of the rocket top does show a lot of oxidation and some holes. There are several small pieces of the warhead which are now heavily worn of their material with several pieces “hanging” off. This hollow cone was what enabled the weapon to penetrate armor by directing the explosive energy along with metal shrapnel into a point. This feature utilized the Munroe or Neumann effect to focus blast energy, and WWII was the first time that this type of weapon saw widespread use. To this day shaped charges are an important part of virtually every piece of armor piercing explosives.
A lovely example, ready to display!
