Original Item. Only One Available. This is an incredibly scarce WWII era German air raid siren on its original stand. It was manufactured by Elektror K.W. Müller. The entire set has been repainted black with the handle and internal components painted red. The set measures roughly 33” tall. Cranking the handle still emits a very loud air raid siren, and opening the sound dampener makes it even louder. When using this siren, do not stop the handle when finished, allow it to coast to a stop itself, or else the set could be damaged.
The original data plate reads:
Elektror
K.W. MÜLLER
Esslingen a.h.
Form HSM7
Nr. 216704 / 19
Kenn Nr. RL4-37/55
This may denote a 1937 manufacture date, but of this we are not certain. The set has very heavy wear overall with very heavy chipping to the newer black paint. The wire covering is well-retained with wear.
A very scarce siren to find in any condition, and the first of its kind we have offered! Ready to research and annoy your neighbors with!
