Original Items. Very Few Sets Available. These are original German WWII Stahlhelm liner retaining split pin and washer sets, suitable for the M35, M40, and M42 steel helmets. Each set consists of three original split pins with their corresponding washers, the standard number used to secure the liner band inside the helmet shell.
These are ideal for restoring an original German WWII helmet with a loose or incomplete liner system while retaining period hardware rather than substituting modern reproductions. Condition varies from set to set. Some pins retain traces of original paint, while others show oxidation, surface wear, or light corrosion. All show some degree of denting or deformation from age, installation, removal, or wartime use.
Because these are original used parts, finish, oxidation, paint retention, and exact shape will vary between sets. The examples supplied will be substantially similar to those shown.
Each set consists of three pins and their washers. These original hardware sets are appropriate for M35, M40, and M42 Stahlhelm restoration projects where correct wartime components are desired. The style and condition of each set vary.
