  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Heer Army Officer's Bullion Dress Brocade Belt, with attached aluminum buckle. These belts were worn with the dress uniform for ceremonial occasions, and were standard issue to all officers with their dress uniform.

The belt is a die struck/stamped, aluminum alloy based construction that has been silver washed. It depicts the Wehrmacht Heer Eagle on a pebbled background that is surrounded by an oak leaf wreath that is tied together at the bottom. The buckle is attached by a double square ring to a long quality woven bright silver/aluminum construction brocade belt. The belt pattern has two horizontal green lines, and the two sliding vertical loops have the same pattern. One of these loops has an extended backing, intended to go behind the length adjustment leather tab where the prongs come through.

The reverse is lined in a Heer Field Gray velvet type fabric, and has a leather length adjustment tab with two rows of holes , as seen on standard leather belts. There is an aluminum claw clasp that attaches to this and hooks together with the buckle. The interior of the buckle is made of a gauze type material reinforced with what looks to be twine, which can be seen where the fabric is damaged.

The belt itself measures about 41” when fully extended, and does not have any maker markings on the buckle or belt that we can see. It does however have a 95 stamp on the leather size adjustment tab, for 95cm or 37.4 inches

The buckle is in very good shape, showing light wear and some oxidation on the silver wash. The opposing clasp is in a bit better condition, with just a bit of wear. The belt and sliders are in very good condition, with the bullion obverse in good shape. The field gray wool fabric does show some mothing on the reverse, which is very common.

Overall a very nice lightly used example of a hard to find WWII German Dress Belt, complete and ready to display!
