Original German WWII Heer Army EM/NCO Belt with Pebbled Aluminum Buckle by Overhoff & Cie and Two K98 Pouches

Item Description

Original Items: Only One Set Available. Here we have a great "salty" service used example of a WWII German Heer (Army) EM/NCO Waist belt & buckle, paired with a set of K98 ammunition pouches. This made up a good amount of the standard equipment for a Heer soldier, and it would usually be attached to a set of Y-straps to help hold the heavy belt with loaded ammo pouches up. This set looks to have seen a good amount of use, and definitely shows it.

This Set Includes:
- EM/NCO Pebbled Aluminum Belt Buckle and Belt by Overhoff & Cie: This is a very good service used condition WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) Aluminum EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß), with the correct leather belt. The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God (is) with us") around the Wehrmachtadler (Armed Forces Eagle) inside a double rope border, with an oak leaf wreath at the bottom. Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a single piece injection molded and crimped example. It does show surface wear, common due to the softer aluminum alloy. This buckle was originally entirely painted standard Heer gray, however the front of the buckle is missing almost all of this. The rear has much more present, probably 75% retained, and is marked with OLC in a diamond by the securing loop, for Overhoff & Cie. of Lüdenscheid, who produced numerous clothing accessories, belt buckles in particular.

The black leather belt is in very good service used condition, with the black exterior finish well worn. The leather is still supple with no cracks or tears, and is marked with 125, usually for 125cm (49.2inches). We measured the belt, and the total length is approximately 40 inches, so the size marking is not accurate.

-Mauser 98k Ammunition Pouches (Pair): This is a nice service used pair of 98k "triple" ammunition pouches, each made from pebbled grained leather. These were designed to hold two loaded 98K stripper clips in each pocket. Both are later war examples, with black finished leather and all steel hardware. The left side pouch is maker marked KURT SEIDEL / BERLIN on the back, and the leather is still soft, with the separators in each pocket still present. The right side pouch has had the leather turn quite stiff, so we did not open the pouches to avoid damaging it. We also were not able to see any maker mark on the back.

A perfect EM/NCO belt setup that is ready for display as is, or to pair with a uniform on a torso mannequin.
