  • Original Item: Only one available. After the catastrophic winter of 1941-42 on the Eastern Front, the German military rapidly designed improved cold weather clothing. This included both uniform parkas as well as headgear, and the designs for these changed rapidly throughout the war. This is a lovely German WWII Heer Army early pattern Reversible Winter Uniform Parka Hood, often referred to as a kopfhaube, made with a wool mouse gray exterior and a white interior. These were designed with a large skirt at the bottom that was intended to be tucked into the inside of the parka, and would be secured closed by a long strap around the bottom.

Condition is very good, showing wear and staining from use in service, with a stain on the rear right that has bled into the interior white layer. We were not able to find any markings at all, but it matches the early pattern completely, down to the weave used. 100% genuine WWII German manufacture.
