Original Item. Only One Available. The Gewehr 43 or Karabiner 43 (abbreviated G43, K43, Gew 43, Kar 43) was a 7.92×57mm Mauser caliber semi-automatic rifle developed by Germany during World War II. The design was based on that of the earlier G41(W), but incorporated an improved short-stroke piston gas system similar to that of the Soviet Tokarev SVT-40. It was manufactured using innovative mass-production techniques. The rifle was designed for many uses, including use as a sniper rifle, which would include the Gw ZF 4 Sniper scope.
This is a scarce but very worn magazine for the G43 / K43, which still retains good markings. The paint is chipped a bit with heavy scuffing. Along the bottom edge on one side is stamped gcb denoting manufacture by Ad. Grohmann & Sohn Metallwarenfabrik. Next to this is a Waffenamt inspection stamp, WaA892, next to K43. On the other side of K43 is the same Waffenamt.
Still functions well but could use a good cleaning. Ready for further research and display.
