Original Item. Only One Available. The Gewehr 43 or Karabiner 43 (abbreviated G43, K43, Gew 43, Kar 43) was a 7.92×57mm Mauser caliber semi-automatic rifle developed by Germany during World War II. The design was based on that of the earlier G41(W), but incorporated an improved short-stroke piston gas system similar to that of the Soviet Tokarev SVT-40. It was manufactured using innovative mass-production techniques. The rifle was designed for many uses, including use as a sniper rifle, which would include the Gw ZF 4 Sniper scope.
This is a scarce but service used magazine for the G43 / K43, which still retains good markings. Along the bottom edge on the left side is stamped gcb, denoting manufacture by Ad. Grohmann & Sohn Metallwarenfabrik. Next to this is a Waffenamt inspection stamp, WaAB92, next to model designation K43. There is a second matching Waffenamt proof on the upper left of the same side.
The magazine looks to be functional and sound, but definitely does show wear and use. We can see some past oxidation on the exterior, which was removed before being painted black. The follower moves up and down easily. Ready to research and display!
