Original Item: German WW2 signal pistol cartridge canister, constructed of black Bakelite (or Vascelite) with screw top and waterproof seal designed to hold five 27mm flare cartridges (star shells). Bakelite marked with maker codes. Nicely marked paper labels with wartime dates and varying batch (rate) numbers. Red star label (for red colored flares).
Unissued condition having been in storage for over 70 years.
