Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent condition example of a German WWII Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Protection police) EM-NCO M38 overseas cap (Schiffchen). The overseas cap, nicknamed in German military slang as Schiffchen, or literally "little ship" as it resembled an up-turned row-boat, was standard issue for for all military and many of the civic organizations of the NSDAP as well.
This example is constructed of a Polizei blue / green cotton fabric exterior, with a light blue cotton - rayon blend interior, which is RBNr. 0/0496/0764 and size 56 marked. It features a fine machine embroidered Civic Police Eagle emblem on the front, which is the correct red-pink color for the Fire Protection police.
Condition of this cap is nearly unissued, showing very little wear of any kind. There is a bit of light staining around the edges, most likely from decades of storage. The interior of the cap shows that it was worn very little, if at all.
A great example, ready to display!
