  • Original Items. Only One Lot Available. During the 1930s, various companies in Germany such as Elastolin, Lineol, Marklin, Tippco and Wiking began to make numerous toy soldiers from painted "composite" materials, and later on from plastic. They mostly made German soldiers, but they did also produce soldiers from other countries, so that more complete battle scenes would be created. They were also generally available from each maker in several different sizes.

This is a nice lot of German WWII period toys, to include a lovely brass Stuka plane, some ceramic soldier pins, and a lot of neat early plastic toys.

The brass Stuka plane appears to have been part of a trench art ashtray as there is a hole in the bottom. It measures 6 ¾ x 5 ½ x 1 ½”. The propeller still spins but is crude.

There are four ceramic soldier pins however one is missing the pin. The three with pins include a mountain alpine soldier, a Luftwaffe soldier standing at attention, and an Army bugler. The broken example is another mountain alpine soldier. Likely to be worn by family members of soldiers in these positions.

There is one metal plane, stamped 5/43 and CANT / Z 5065, likely an ID model meant to train soldiers.

There are then 12 plastic toys, including two planes, a ship, two vehicles, four artillery pieces being manned by soldiers, one mortar being manned by two soldiers, one soldier at attention, and one soldier throwing a grenade. One of the vehicles is split in half and is missing the one half.

A lovely lot of toys, ready for display.
