  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is an original WWII era black leather Deutsches Rotes Kreuz medic pouch. It is set up with belt loops and a rear ring for attachment to standard combat suspenders. This example is nicely stamped on the reverse with the location it was issued from:

    D.R.K. Sanitätslager
    Babelsberg 34

This roughly translates to German Red Cross Medical Camp Babelsberg 34. Babelsberg is the largest district of Potsdam, the capital city of the German state of Brandenburg, in Eastern Germany. The case shows some minor scuffing from wear and use, but is very good condition overall. Almost all of the original black finish is present.

Also included are the original medical supplies including: Bandages, Guaze, and all in original wartime labeled packaging. Many of the packets have WWII or Pre-War dates. All of the packaging is unopened, except for one, though the inner packaging is still secure. There is also a red cross armband.

A very nice German WWII DRK Medic's field kit!

History of the German Red Cross (DRK)

The DRK, "Deutsches Rotes Kreuz" (German Red Cross), a voluntary civil assistance organization originally instituted in 1864, was officially acknowledged by the Geneva Convention in 1929. In December 1937 it gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP in late 1938 under the auspices of the Ministry of the Interior's Social Welfare Organization.

Idiot Clause - the contents of this kit are pre-1945 manufacture and are NOT suitable for use. They are being sold as novelty collector pieces only.
