Original Item. Only One Available. This is an extremely scarce offering, an original German Dialytan x4 Sniper Scope for the High Turret K98k and includes both the front and rear mount. The “High Turret” mounted scopes are far more difficult to find than the Single Claw.
The front mount bears the serial number of the K98k that the scope was mounted onto, 9183. The same serial number can be found on the bottom of the rear mount prefixed by R. The side of the scope is marked:

This denotes manufacture by Hensoldt & Sohne Werke A-G of Wetzlar in Germany. This is absolutely correct for a wartime Wetzlar scope, and the serial number is in the correct range. The scope is equipped with a lockable elevation adjustment knob and a three-post reticle. The optic is still mostly clear.
The surface shows heavy oxidation through the original bluing, with some scuff marks as well. This example also comes with the original leather eye-cups with the strap that connects them. One of the cups has some stitching loss with heavy wear overall, but the entire set is in good order.
An extremely scarce scope to find in any condition, ready for further research and display!
