Original German WWII Dialytan 4x Sniper Rifle Scope by Hensoldt & Söhne Werke A.G. of Wetzlar - Serial No. 74350 - No Mounts

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a scarce original German WWII Dialytan 4x sniper rifle scope manufactured by Hensoldt & Söhne Werke A.G. of Wetzlar, offered without its original mounting hardware. As such, it would make an excellent restoration project for someone with a suitable period rifle or correct replacement mount.
The side of the scope is marked:
DIALYTAN 4x 74350
bmj +
The bmj manufacturer code identifies Hensoldt & Söhne Werke A.G. of Wetzlar, Germany, one of the best known German optical manufacturers of the period.
The scope is equipped with a lockable elevation adjustment knob and retains its cross reticle. The optics remain clear, making this a particularly appealing example despite the missing mounts.
The exterior retains much of its original blued finish, with scattered oxidation showing through in areas. There are also some scuffs and handling marks from age and use.
The original scope mounts are no longer present, so this example is being offered as the optic only.
A very nice original German WWII 4x Dialytan scope from a desirable maker, with clear optics, visible wartime markings, and good restoration potential.
