Original German WWII "Deutschland erwacht" NSDAP Cigarette Card Album - Dust Cover, Foldout Picture, and All Cards Present

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a rare Deutschland erwacht: Werden, Kampf und Sieg der NSDAP (Germany Awakes: The formation, battle and victory of the NSDAP) hardcover "cigarette card" album. These were purchased without the included pictures, which were then received along with packs of cigarettes. This served the dual purpose of helping to stiffen the packaging, as well as being collectible items. This wonderful example contains EVERY photo, yes, none are missing! It also still retains the original dust cover, something we have not had before!
The book was a companion to the NSDAP produced "documentary" propaganda film, Deutschland erwacht – Ein Dokument von der Wiedergeburt Deutschlands (Germany Awakes - A documentary of the Rebirth of Germany). This example is edition 1076-1175. Tauſend (1076-1175 Thousand), so it was probably printed in the late 1930s by Cigaretten=Bilderdienst (Cigarette Picture Service) of Altona-Bahrenfeld. Very early editions of this still retained pictures of Ernst Röhm, before he was executed during the "Night of the Long Knives", however this has a picture of Viktor Lutze, his replacement, seen on page 52.
It is approximately 150 pages long, hardcover, and features a huge number of glued in pictures, as well as some very impressive portraits of the top level NSDAP leadership. It even still has the MASSIVE foldout picture of the 1933 NSDAP rally in Nürnberg, which is 12 inches wide and over 4 FEET long! It measures approximately 9 1/2"W x 12 1/2"H x 1", and is offered in very good condition. This is one of many collectible books released after the NSDAP rise to power in 1933, and is both a collector's book as well as a history book. It is in very good condition, showing some minor age related deformation, and there is also some cracking of the binding that we can see when flipping through the pages. There is some wear and tearing to the rare dust cover, but nothing serious.
