The NSDAP, or Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (National Socialist German Worker’s Party), was originally founded in Munich as the DAP, or Deutsche Arbeiterpartei (German Worker’s Party), on January 5 1919. When Adolf joined the DAP in the autumn of 1919 he was to reform what was basically a debating society into an active political party. Appointed as the first chairman of the party on July 29TH 1921 he was to restructure it along para-military lines in a hierarchy of four levels of government.

During the next decade, the NSDAP gradually grew in power, and on January 30, 1933 Reichspräsident Paul von Hindenburg appointed Adolf H as Reichskanzler (Chancellor of Germany), after which he quickly consolidated power to become a true dictator.

Here we have a very nice 5 3/4" x 8 1/4" piece of Der Führer Adolf's personal stationary, which would be used to write personal letters. It is definitely a fancy style of paper, showing the "laid lines" of pressed paper when held up to the light, and it has a raised spread-wing Reichsadler Eagle at the top surrounded by the initials A H. We have checked the raised stamp at the top and it matches exactly to other period examples we have seen. it is enclosed in a plastic sleeve, which itself has been put into a display frame measuring 7 1/8" x 10 1/4".
