Original Item: Only One Available. This is an excellent and very complete set of German WWII 10x50 Dienstglas binoculars manufactured by Carl Zeiss, Jena, complete with their original black leather neck strap, partial eyepiece cover, and a 1944 dated black leather carrying case. The binoculars remain fully functional with clear optics, smooth individual diopter adjustments, and undamaged eyecups, making this a particularly strong example of one of the classic German military binocular patterns of WWII.

The wartime manufacturer code blc identifies Carl Zeiss, Militärabteilung Jena, one of Germany’s best known optical manufacturers. Zeiss had already established an international reputation for precision optics before WWII, and its military binoculars became some of the most recognizable German service optics of the period.
The 10x50 Dienstglas offered significantly greater magnification and light gathering ability than smaller standard field binoculars, making it particularly useful for observation at greater distances. Binoculars of this type were well suited to officers, artillery observers, reconnaissance personnel, and other troops who required better long range visibility than could be provided by the smaller 6x30 pattern.
This example remains in excellent optical condition. Both barrels are clear, and the individual focus adjustments operate smoothly. The eyecups show no chips or dings, another desirable feature on a set that has survived more than eighty years.
The original black leather neck strap is still present and remains in very good condition, retaining most of its original finish while still being soft and flexible. The original leather eyepiece cover is also present at the end of the strap, although it is now retained on only one side.
The binoculars are accompanied by their original black leather carrying case, which is another strong component of the set. The case retains its spring loaded closure mechanism, which remains functional.

The code frn is associated with Rudolf Lang of Brandenburg an der Havel, a manufacturer of springs and metal hardware.
The lower lip of the case is additionally marked:
hte 1944 WaA325
The wartime code hte identifies Carl Borg of Rathenow, another German manufacturer associated with optical equipment cases and related military leather goods. The 1944 date places the case firmly within the late war production period.
The Waffenamt number appears to read WaA325, though the inspector number is somewhat difficult to confirm and should be treated with a little caution.
The case itself remains in excellent overall condition, with good leather, strong form, and a functioning closure. The original shoulder strap is unfortunately no longer present.
Taken together, this is a highly desirable and unusually complete example of a German WWII field optics set, combining Carl Zeiss 10x50 Dienstglas binoculars, clear functional optics, original neck strap, surviving eyepiece cover, and a 1944 dated leather case with documented wartime maker codes.
For a collector of German WWII optics, Carl Zeiss equipment, field gear, artillery or observation equipment, or late war leather cases, this set has excellent display appeal and strong original character.
