Original German WWII Browning Hi-Power Leather Softshell Holster by A. Walshausen - Dated 1942

Item Description

Original Item. Only One Available. This supple leather holster is maker-marked under the securing strap with wartime German letter code dta, for A. Walshausen, located at Inh. M. Bruchmann in Köln (Cologne), Germany. This company manufactured holsters for the P.08 and other service pistols, as well as other leather wares, according to GERMAN MILITARY LETTER CODES 1939-1945 by John Walter.. This example is dated 1942. We could not find any Waffenamt marks.

The overall condition of the holster is very good, especially considering the age. The leather is supple, and has intact heavy stitching, original belt loop, and intact and functional closure strap, attached to the break away front. There is some splitting and cracking around the eyelet in the closure strap, and the button on the flap does show some oxidation. Aside from the wear, there are no major defects with this holster.

A really nice solid holster that will complete any WWII Era Browning Hi-Power pistol.
