Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht (Heer) Left-Facing Eagle Aluminum EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). These buckles, with the eagle facing left instead of right, were only made for a short time at the very beginning of Heer buckle production, and only represent a tiny fraction of Heer buckles produced.

The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOTT MIT UNS ("God (is) with us") around the Wehrmacht Reichsadler (State Eagle). Nice aluminum construction box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is in good condition, and is a multi-piece construction with an attached roundel. The four prongs of the roundel are intact, with no issues. It does show some surface wear, common due to the softer aluminum alloy.

The buckle doesn’t appear to have a maker’s mark anywhere. There is some scratching to the back of the buckle but this is nothing serious. Overall condition is very good with an exceptional eye appeal and patina! A very scarce model of buckle. Ready to research and display!
