Original Item: Only One Available. This is a near excellent condition mid-war EREL Officer's Schirmmütze Visor Cap. This is a very high quality manufactured visor. Fabricated in Army green gray wool, with wide dark green wool cap band, plus three rows of white wool piping around the circumference. The peak visor cap retains matching, early-quality, silver-aluminum hand-embroidered eagle with swas and oak leaves, along with a metal ventilated cockade (a classic EREL feature).
The cap is lined with deep golden-yellow silk and shows a full-celluloid diamond bearing the silver-blocked Erel trademark (faded). The leather sweatband with a ventilated front and silver-blocked Erel maker-name to the side. Size of this cap is approximately 56cm.
This is a very nice, Double Erel, Heer Officer peak visor cap offered for sale in very good condition with a beautiful saddle-form shape.
The peak visor shows storage age only, with a couple of small tears to the leather sweatband, and a bit of fading from exposure to light.
