Original German WWII Army Heer Belt with Steel Buckle by B. Haarmann, Lüdenscheid - Dated 1940

Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice WWII German Wehrmacht Heer (Army) EM/NCO's Belt with Steel Buckle (Koppelschloß). The buckle is embossed with the Heer motto GOT MIT UNS ("God with us") surrounding a NSDAP Party Eagle. Nice fieldgrey painted steel construction box buckle with a smooth background. The buckle is in good condition, with most of the original paint intact, and the expected wear from service.
The buckle still still retains the leather tab, which is marked:

The leather of the tab is in quite nice shape, however the stitching has pulled out about 50%.
The black leather belt measures 38” when fully extended, and is interesting in that it was converted from a different style of belt. It looks like originally it was made for a "claw" style buckle, in a "Sam Browne" style configuration. The filled in holes for the original buckle system can be seen near the clip end. The condition of the belt is very good and the leather is supple. A good amount of the original finish is still present on the leather.
This piece has great eye appeal, and is perfect for anyone looking to start a German belt collection.
