  • Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice original German Deutsches Afrikakorps (DAK) M31 Aluminum tropical canteen (Tropen Feldflasche), complete with its bakelite cap, bakelite cup, canvas carry strap, and genuine wool cover.


    The canteen itself is stamped C&C.W. 42 denoting 1942 manufacture by Colsmann & Co, Werdohl. There is also a LUX marking on the metal end fittings of the securing harness. The bakelite cup has some markings but no maker mark.


    There are some stamped markings under the flap when the snaps are undone, but only the top two snaps could be undone, the others are too heavily oxidized.


    Overall a very nice chance to pick up a good condition German DAK canteen.
